SHIPPING POLICY
At Little Sapiens, we hate high shipping costs as much as you do, so we work hard to keep shipping costs to a minimum for our customers. For all orders over $50.00, shipping is free within the continental US. For orders less than $50.00, standard shipping costs will be added to your purchase total. Little Sapiens uses the United States Postal Service (USPS) for all of our shipping needs. Unless otherwise selected and paid for by the customer at check-out, all of our orders are shipped using standard basic shipping (typically up to 9 business days for delivery). At this time, shipping outside of the US is not available. For shipping policies to addresses outside of the continental US, please contact us at support@little-sapiens.com.
RETURNS
At Little Sapiens we want all our customers to have complete satisfaction with their purchase. If you aren't completely satisfied with your purchase, please feel free to contact us to initiate a return or exchange. All returns and exchanges must be initiated via email within 14 days of your purchase arrival. Please note that, the cost of shipping for your return/exchange will be deducted from your refund. Refunds will be made in the original form of payment used for purchase. Items must be in re-usable condition for returns/exchanges to be accepted. Little Sapiens reserves the right to deny any refund/exchange request based on the condition of the item(s) returned.
Previously loved items, items bought through bulk purchase pricing, and Pay It Forward prducts are all final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
WASTE REDUCTION
Many products that are returned or exchanged end up being thrown away by the company. At Little Sapiens, we call that wasteful. Little Sapiens is committed to our customers as well as our environment. There are two particular ways that we are working to reduce waste.

1) Previously loved items - Items returned/exchanged will be resold at a discounted price, donated, or reused to make new products, depending on the condition of the item. If you are interested in helping reduce product waste (and saving a little money) visit our previously loved page in our shop to find great deals on previously owned items.

2) Product turn in - If you have Little Sapiens products that your little one(s) has outgrown but that are still in good condition, please email us at reduce@little-sapiens.com to initiate an item turn in for your used items. We'll give you store credit to be used on little-sapiens.com in exchange for your gently used Little Sapiens items. And don't worry about the fate of the items you turn in, we'll be sure to responsibly reuse those items.
PRIVACY POLICY
At Little Sapiens we have no desire to use your personal information in any way you don't want us to. Little Sapiens will not sell any customer data. Data you enter at check out will be used by Little Sapiens for email updates and notifications regarding your order (or abandoned cart), your order purchase, and delivery processing. Email addresses provided for subscription notifications will be used to send email updates and notifications regarding store policy updates, new products, and sale events.

PAY IT FORWARD PROGRAM
Little Sapiens is committed to helping ensure that children have access to our books regardless of their family's financial situation. Little Sapiens is committed to donating books to both organizations and individuals.
We donate Little Sapiens books to organizations and institutions that provide services primarily to families with an average income lower than the household median of the area and to individuals recommended by institutions like schools, daycares, and after school programs, and to public libraries. If you have an organization or institution that you would like to recommend become a part of the Little Sapiens Pay It Forward program, please email us at payitforward@little-sapiens.com. Note that organizations and institutions may recommend themselves.

For every 10 books purchased, with the exclusion of bulk purchases and previously loved purchases, and Pay It Forward products one book will be donated to the Pay It Forward program.
If you would like to further contribute to the Pay It Forward program you can directly purchase a book to be donated from our Pay It Forward shop. Your book will be donated where it is most needed at that time. At checkout use the promo code DOINGMYPART so that you will not be charged for shipping.
